About
Netdata watches the machine itself. Per-second metrics for CPU, memory, disks, network, containers, and per-process activity — collected with zero configuration and retained for quick forensics. It is the source the ops dashboards lean on when something feels slow: instead of guessing which container is chewing memory, the chart names it. Anomaly detection flags unusual patterns before they become incidents.
What it does
- Per-second resolution on thousands of metrics
- Container and per-process level detail
- Zero-config collection across the whole host
- Anomaly detection with automatic alerts
- Powers the metrics views in the ops dashboards
