About
Portainer is the container control plane. Every Docker workload on the fleet — automation, connectors, memory services — is visible in one place: state, logs, resource usage, and console access without SSH. Deployments and rollbacks are template-driven, and access is role-scoped so the UI can be shared without handing out the host. It makes the container layer operable by humans, not just by scripts.
What it does
- Fleet-wide container visibility with logs and consoles
- Template-driven deployments and rollbacks
- Role-based access control to the container layer
- Resource usage per container at a glance
- No SSH required for routine container ops
